Gazeebow
Significant Drill Results
Exploration efforts have been focused on till sampling at the Gazeebow Property that will assist with drill target definition. Significant gold grain counts of up to 14 times the background levels have been identified from 2023 till samples including total counts as high as 141 grains, 122 grains, and 114 grains.
Key Highlights
Entire Gazeebow land package covers approximately 19.4 km of the north-eastern interpreted extension of the Appleton Fault Zone, known for significant gold discoveries.
Till sampling identified elevated gold grains, indicating potential for localized gold mineralization.
The property benefits from proximity to established infrastructure, including the Trans-Canada Highway.
Geological Features
- Underlain by Early to Late Ordovician marine sediments, including turbidites and minor conglomerates.
- The property is structurally aligned with the Appleton Fault Zone and associated splay structures, providing a conducive environment for gold-bearing fluids.
- Contains significant quartz vein systems like "Mega Vein" and "Angie’s Vein," indicating faulting and significant fluid pathways.
Historical Exploration & Results
- 2021: Conducted a VTEM airborne geophysical survey totaling 1,050 line-km.
- 2022: Completed till sampling and prospecting programs, focusing on quartz exposures and initial geophysical mapping.
- 2023: Expanded till sampling program, identifying significant clusters of gold grains, particularly in the southern segment.
- 2024: Follow-up till sampling and geological mapping are ongoing, aiming to define drill-ready targets.
Exploration Activities
- 2023-2024: Focused on till sampling to identify gold anomalies with localized mapping and geophysical surveys.
- LiDAR and Magnetics surveys helped map structural complexities along the Appleton Fault Zone.
- Aiming to advance key targets to drill-ready status through detailed mapping and further till analysis.
